Dr. Cleaner: Disk, Mem Clean App Reviews

Before I moved information to an external hard drive from my macbook, I decided to download this app to see if I could avoid moving things around. I downloaded it and it helped me free up 20GB of space that I was using on files I had no use for. It was great to be able to see duplicate files too. I was able to free up space without losing anything important from my computer. I also didn’t need to use an external harddrive.

My computer was so slow but now it like brand new so happy about this app and its free!!!

I really like the app, it helps me to find out which is the most reousrce consuming one.

Since it doens’t support other disks than the system disk, it’s pretty useless.

Since I installed it, I was able to clear 3GB of disk space.

Fast, easy to navigate without all the unnecessary frills

This app has been very helpful and actually working and resolving memory issues…however what I fail to understand that what consumes 60-70% memory even if all apps are closed in my macbook pro 13.

While it does do a cursory clean-up, several of the features such as finding duplictes don’t exist — they scan and then send you to an up-sell app to purchase in order to actually delete files.

Get this app. It works wonders to keep new Macs NEW and can help bring old Macs back to life. Very efficient, no ad-ons/pop ups, conveniently located in upper right hand near WiFi/Bluetooth icons, can be accessed at ANY point, it’s just an all around excellent app. VERY impressive. Would recommend to anybody.

Just installed the app, launched it, and gained 6GB in data storage in two clicks. Very easy to use and answered my needs.

does exactly what they claim…easy to use and keeps my MacBook Pro running quick…especially as I use Chrome which tends to be pretty heavy on the cache or whatever..but it does use lots of RAM….this utility takes seconds to clear things up and get things moving

I got this app to check for duplicate files. It finds them fine, but it doesn’t provide a means to delete them other than manually, one by one. If you want to delete them otherwise, you have to pay for another app. But there is worse. I hit the « clean memory » button by ACCIDENT. There was no warning, no « Are you sure? » window, nothing. Memory and caches, etc. was cleared in a fraction of a second, which I DID NOT want. So this app is unforgiving. The worse: ever since I installed this app, I can’t manually clear the Firefox cache from within Firefox. So, that’s a big no no for me. It takes away all it’s advantages. :-(

I have used many system cleaners, but this one is the best one that I have found. Simple and easy to use, this app acts like a system app should. It works. I barely notice that I have it or what it does for me. And, that is what an app should be like. This latest version is attractive and intuitive. There are more features than other cleaners have allowing me to customize the clean that I wish to do. I highly recommend this app for every app store customer. Even if you have another app that cleans, this one will probably clean what that one misses.

My computer starts to feel slugish when the memory usage hits 80-90%. I click optimize and it feels much faster. The app does the job I need it to do.
