Dr. Cleaner: Disk, Mem Clean App Reviews

Trend Micro’s Dr. Cleaner works well at basic system optimization. The uninstaller, specifically, was a pretty great function but is currently “under review” by Apple so who knows whether it will return. If you are looking for a quick and easy cleaning solution, this app does the trick.

This app only finds duplicates and won’t remove them without their $9.99 companion app ‘Duplicate Finder’. The two apps do work extremely well together. Just beware that you do need both to do anything useful. I rated this 3 rather than 5 stars as I do not like deceptive advertising.

This App is simple, easy and usable. I don’t know how it compares to others, because it was the first one I downloaded and I haven’t had the need to continue shopping around.

I am really liking this app because I have ended up with many duplicate files. It finds them, tells me where they are (in what foler path) and gives me the option about which to delete. Simple.

Dr. Cleaner is doing a great job of keeping the RAM optimized with my iMac. The app keeps check on the % being used so I don’t open too many apps, and keeps things smooth with Smart Memory Optimization as I close out apps. It performs the RAM optimization quite fast compared to other apps I’ve used in the past. The disk cleaning clearly shows what it can clean, before you run it, so you can deselect what’s appropriate rather than going roque and deleting everything in sight.

This is one of the first apps I install on a brand new Mac or to begin maintenance on an exisiting machine. Great app. Even greater price! ;)

So many products like this don’t do what they say they do or have strings attached - whatever. This app worked. It helped me find and clean out files I didn’t know I had cluttering up the place. It’s also helped me learn how to better manage memory usage. It works. How about that.

I bought this afew other to clean my mac but it seems apple has designed it Os to fake your tools use as to date not one tool i have bought will remove deep music and movie file no longer used or see … it just seem like apple just doesn’t want to allow for the maintance of our computer this insure resale. and the public keep throwing money at apple sorry for the rant but apple cleaning tool do not do a single thing but remove your money from your wallet that is there plan and not clean your computer they make no money if they cannot sell these fake useless tool.

New to Mac of any kind. This Dr. gives me confidence that I’m not overloading the memory, or whatever, and I can clean it up with a minimum of fuss. Unlike the MS based units I’ve used since my intro to computers. Peace of mind that all is well, thank you, Dr. I’ve been using the Dr. for a while now and am most pleased with its performance. Easy to use, even for a non-techie like me. Thank you to whoever came up with this one.

Takes no time to clean and appeats effective. Not sure why this functionality is not built in to the operating system.

This product is great for being a free app. It is great for optimizing your memory usage and it keeps your files clean. Great for anyone who is looking to optimize their mac and who struggle with storage. I really enjoy using it and it makes running my mac so smooth.
